It's official Maryland now a Big 10 school. Rutgers to announce on Tuesday.

More dominos to fall in other conferences soon.

The landscape is a changing once again.

It's all about tv revenue. Big Ten. Network wants the Baltimore/Washington market and the NY/NJ market. Those are the only reasons.

Just when you thought the B10 couldn't get any worse!

:):)

yes maryland doesnt strengthen the big10.. but i believe rutgers has constantly been improving and deserves a shot with a big conference with automatic bids.

Why do they even bother with conference names anymore? This is all very lame imo. If they are so money hungry why not endorse and support legalized sports betting? Bunch of hypocrites.

Us buckeyes aren't happy either. This move doesn't do us any good.

So how many teams will they add before they finally change the name of the conference ? I had no idea you could have that many bad teams in one conference !

I wouldn't be surprised they don't get to 16 team before it's all said and done. Rumors are they are looking for Texas and Oklahoma but I can't see that happening at all. Then again I never thought I would see the day Nebraska, Penn St Maryland and Rutgers would be there.

That Longhorn Network deal will likely leave Texas where they are and at some point could they go Independent and keep all the revenue rather than share? Greed Rules!

Then you dont understand why conferences add teams. This move just made your school a bunch of money. These moves arent made for competition on the field, they are monetary decisions.
