I'm excited that we are actually going through with it.

My wife is a RN and given that there can be high demand for RNs in different parts of the the country (world really) there are travel nursing companies set up. You go to whatever part of the country there is a demand, they pay for a furnished apartment, work there for 3 months and then go elsewhere. Money is slightly better, but really its about the experience and the chance to do some travelling while my wife and I are still young without kids.

I'm sure I'll have lots of questions about local things to do, where to go ect....

Were most likely to leave Mid-January with the first destination being Florida through March. She wanted to be near her sister who lives in the panhandle but not really a demand there. There seems to be a ton in the Tampa area.... Next we would like to go to California April - June, either San Diego or San Francisco. She prefers San Fran but will be more about the job availabity. After that It will be Chicago July-September and Vegas October-Dec....

That's the goal right now....

How is Tampa as a city... St Petersburg?..... There were some smaller cities outside the major cities that I cannot remember right now, but Ill be sure to ask you guys about soon. Thanks for the information

Wow .. that sounds like a great opportunity to see much of this country. I'm an old geezer who has only seen maybe a quarter of the U.S.A. if that. I really am envious. Life is too short to not take advantage of something like this while you're still young and healthy.

Traveling is great and you made a good point when you said young and without kids. The older you get, the more you want to set up shop somewhere and have some predictability in your life with a home and career.

I say go for it now while you have the opportunity.

Gluck with everything, hope all works out for you guys...... if you ever want some info out of Nevada, I've been fortunate to hangout with some of the travel nurses here, no benefits but the travellers here told me they were making 60/hr and after 12 hours in Nevada its overtime, in Cali for example anything over 8 hours is overtime. One of the girl s was telling me she works 6 times a week and some of her bigger cheques were 4-5 grand a week.

Tell my bookie that parlays are for suckers.. Lol

Hey come on, unless you're betting five bucks and just having fun with it, parlays are a great way to lose your money quick. I don't think I've ever bet a parlay in which I risked more than fifty bucks.
