You sound really bright. So, all musicals and opera suck bad?

BTW, it's "Shakespeare," and he's considered one of the greatest writers of all time.

I think doug may be in a bad mood for some reason.

My favorite is probably the classic Rudolph the Rednose Reindeer...the dentist one you mentioned.

I love the uncut version of It's a Wonderful Life. Most tv networks cut about 20 to 30 minutes from the movie to show it. It is a long movie at about 2 hours and 15 minutes when it is uncut. It's a great movie.

Christmas Story is a classic but lets be honest, its a bit overrated. Great Christmas specials-The Office Christmas Yankee Swap edition and Always Sunny Christmas

I dig the Charlie Brown/Peanuts specials... They all have some dark moments (Snoopy doing the Red Baron thing all on his own, all those rainy/windy nights when they go to France, etc). The music is always great as well.

The Ref is an underrated Christmas comedy.

My jazz trio does all the Vince Guaraldi stuff this time of the year, it's always a big hit...

I like Family Man with Nicholas Cage (like a weird remake of the charles dickens book in current times)

gets to turn in his corporate world for a family and a long lost love.... pretty funny at some points :)

and Home Alone is another christmas type movie with a few laughs.

After all these years of "A Christmas Story" this and "A Christmas Story" that, and after being chastised on Facebook for never having seen it, I put it in my NetFlix queue. I just finished watching it about 30 minutes ago and here's my review:

Maybe if I had seen it when I was younger I would appreciate it more. It had a few funny spots and it was a nice movie, but I won't watch it over and over again like I did the year I watched It's a Wonderful Life 15 times.
