I dont really know what to say,,, we have all had our crazy stories to tell about divorces, and the like,,, mine is no different,, 11 years ago I got divorced,,, my ex was to pay me a significant ammont of money,,, she decided she didnt want to do that,, and keept the assets for herself,,
Sadly, she passed away this august,,,(cancer) I received a letter saying in a bank lockbox with mine and hers name on it contained a significant amount of cash and jewelery.,,

crazy huh?

anyway,,, I thought I would share it here, as Its an odd thing to happen to an exhusband. and I guess its just one of those things. I have to think of what im going to do with it. (we had no children). depending on whats in it,, maybe give somehting to her mom?

she left the money for u and it was rightfully yours anyway (by the court).. so she did the right thing in the end

sad but good ending for your family and you.... use the money wisely and invest some of it :toast:

murph,cp,,, I have to say,,, I hated her and pitied her for years,,, my life turned around several years back thanks to a NEW girl,, and I am happy, but I feel kindfo guilty? about feeling happy,,,lol thats why I posted this,, jut to kindof work through my stupid head,, lol,,,

I started a charity 2 years back and from it make donations to the sojourner center every month,, I will probably just give to that and not bother her family,,, as you know how things get fkn twisted whenever money is involved, blah blah blah,, I want to protect myself too I guess from what may come from her family?

I've seen family issues as well...and I agree...but...

falls,, its kindof complicated,, and gets more personal than I wanted to in relating this story,, I also just didnt want to include $$ amount for the same reasons.
I will update story if anything significant occurs,, there were personal contents that werent disclosed to me, so that has my heart beating more than anything,, (passport maybe? birth cert maybe? Im thinking a Will thats just not been disclosed or known of??,,)

Well, I received the contents of the box on monday just past,,, I have a close freind that is a jeweler,, Inside the box were several documents most were outdated pieces that she and i were involved with over 15 years ago>?? oddly there is close to 1 pound/half of 24 K gold jewelery,, anyway,,, I struggled with if I would give pieces or $$ back to her mom? anyway, I guess the next step is to sell the pieces as they are not pieces that are personal, they are scrap type pieces,,,

When I was leaving florida, my divorce was final,,, I decided to go see a psychic,, lol Do I believe in them> I dont know,, so I sat down with her, and I aksed her,, would my ex ever pay me the money she owes me? as our divorce was complicated,,, and obviously I was put on a hook,, sooo the psychic looked at me,, and said noo,, well,, noo,,, well,, yes,, but it is going to be more than 10 years from ow,, I dont know how she will do it, as I don t see her giving you money,, but YES for sure she will pay you,, I just dont understand how? lol,,,
anyway,, kindof funny,,
