I think the cheerleaders went to a far greater extreme being women and shaving their head then it would be for most men to shave what little hair they might have left puff_>>

to answer your question, I would shave mine for charity.. matter of fact I need a haircut :toast:

Exactly how does someone shaving their head help anyone? If you want to help a charity, you can just give them money. Right now I'm scratching my crotch, trying to help the lupus foundation!

Human hair is VERY expensive. It could be sold and the money given to a charity. But more likely it is a cancer foundation and the hair is made into wigs.

So I can sell my hair then ? I shave it off every few months anyway and throw it away. it isn't very long.

Last haircut i had was in like 1988, ofcourse today its falling out way faster than its growing but i cant imagine very many people would give a crap what my hair looks like to pay to have it cut. Im sure had that been homeless guys instead of college cheerleaders the story would have nevermade the news.

i do the exact opposite...grow it for two years at a clip then cut it and give it the 'locks for love' program(lil girls with cancer use the human hair to make wigs so they feel like the other lil girls that don't have illness)...it's the least i can do...a walk thru that ward will rip your heart out....more so if you have lil kids of your own

Being in the military I get my hair cut once a week....so it wouldn't be a big deal to shave my head. I brought a buddy of mine to the Bash a couple of years ago who shaved his for the St. Baldrick (not sure if that's the correct spelling). He has a big ole curly head of hair. It was funny as shit watching him get it cut. I donated to the cause....

I shaved my head bald last year to go as Walter White for Halloween...so yes, to show my support for someone close to me going through chemo, I would do it in a heartbeat. And for those saying the act means nothing, I fail to see how that is remotely true? Everything needs to stopped being looked at in a monetary sense. You ask any person who has to go through these horrible diseases if it doesn't mean something to them to have their family, or friends, or community show their support by shaving their heads. While it may not help the treatment per se, but if it makes the patient happier, it absolutely means something.

most of the time the causes need the money 1st......

so i would prefer to donate my money,.....Rather than my hair or some other gimmick move
