Had a couple things I had lying around that I sold on eBay (one in the $400 range, another in the $300 range).

$44.00 and $28.00 fees on each then another 3% paypal takes out for processing.

What a racket, they are making money hand over fist. ##)

I still purchase things on eBay from time to time but when I have something to sell I just use Craigslist.

I have never sold anything on ebay, but it always amazes me that no matter what I am looking for, someone has it there. Never fails!

i still sell some things through there because it reaches the masses so much easier. if u have a fixed price item u can sell on amazon pretty easily too and it saves a bit cost wise

ive had an ebay store for years and its getting shut down as soon as the patriots are knocked out of the playoffs. theres no money in it anymore. they have basically killed the little guy. i know there's a lot of people like myself who have nothing good to say about ebay anymore. its much much better for the buyer than it is for the sellers now. its unfortunate.

you think thats bad, you should sell on StubHub....

Sold two tickets for $430, I get $365 back, although I was shocked to see Paypal didn't take out their 3% fees. They must have a deal, maybe ownership of some sort??

Don't forget that Stubhub charges fees also to the person buying the tickets.....

Wife use to have 2 Ebay Stores. One made around $40K per year, 2 1/2 years ago it did a little over $5K
Then around $3K so she closed them.

The Fees were crazy at the time .. she couldn't stay open because she wasn't making the money she use to.

I use to buy a few things here and there.... Razor Blades were my Big Buy.

Knew people that sold stuff years ago.. Not anymore.

I think Amazon is the way to go now ( for New items )

I totally agree with your comment here about the way ebay treats their sellers. I am a top rated seller on ebay (sports cards) and the main reason that I only sell on there is because they have the market cornered as far as the card business. Hell, if you want to know the value of a particular card, you don't look at a Beckett price guide anymore, you just look it up on ebay because they determine the selling value of the card. Everything is free to list but even with the cheaper fees for being a top rated seller it still sucks. What pisses me off the most is ebay double dipping you with the paypal fee since they own them but most use paypal because that is the easiest way to pay. I still make a little money by selling there but not as much as we all should.
