What is the one thing you purchase/spend money on pretty consistently that you wish you could have cheaper or think you are overpaying?

I appreciate you answers, doing some research for a friend.

This isnt really answering your question as it's not a usual expense , but being the end of the year i'm complaining about property taxes. Last year i paid 1400 in property taxes (on my home) and the appraised value was 218k. This year i owe 1700 but the appraised value is 204k. ... so my home lost 14k in value but my taxes go up 300.

As far as regular expenses probably my cable bill. Nobody should pay that much for freakin tv. ...and booze i guess.

I'm on the go so much I eat too much on the run. So "food" and "gasoline" have to be #1 and #2

I'll blow $150 a month in a strip bar and tell myself to never do it again and keep doing it again and again. I suppose it's no different than a person with a "cigarette habit" but that 2 grand [I would save] at the end of a year sure sounds good.

id say that it would have to be food or gas are the things people wish they could get cheaper because they are necessities for most to perform every day life.

great question....

#1 answer for me is razer blades.....

Other things that come to mind: furniture, taxes, internet (pay $80 a month)

Probably could think of a few others... i think both gas and food is both reasonable to be honest....

My HOA $503 per month.

Fucking cocksuckers.
This. But, damn!!! $503? I bitch about $104 as our HOA is a bitch and waste of money. I won't even consider living in a neighborhood with this lady as the HOA when I purchase my next home soon.
