I don't play @ 7red but I do play @ betislands. Recently, betislands took over 7red... and it looks like betislands is having major issue with their payout system. Since 7red is sponsor here @ therx, I figured more ppl here play @ 7red than betislands. So ppl who recently request p2p payout, was there any delay??

I am pretty sure that people play at 7red from here and they probably have plenty of clients that don't even visit forums online, but you also are asking for someone who took a payout and received this week or whatever right? ...I just think its a little too specific to find someone who just now requested a payout as you might have from betislands or whatever.

suggestion is if you have a complaint about any book is to file a complaint here - http://ratethebooks.com/sportsbook-dispute

Personally I have had a free-play from a contest @ 7red there is all and lost it within a few bets.. so I dont have experience with them other than the software side of things which is easy to use like any other similar book. Customer service always seems to be in chat which is nice, but I cannot attest to payouts directly. sorry bud

sounds like you didn't request any payout from betislands past 2weeks or so.. checks not being sent out and p2p not working either.

I did a lil research on this last night and....this is only my opinion, they seem to be having the same problem as the poker sites. Cks are always going to be hit and miss, thats a fact we all just have to live with. They use 3rd party processors for the most part. These may or may not be trustworthy from the books POV. They are leary of sending them huge amounts of money at 1 time since these 3rd parties have been known to run off with the money from time to time. Thats exactly how the poker busts happened. Then even when they do send out a batch of payouts by ck its like a coke head looking out the window every 5 mins. If they think the govt may be on to the accounts they are going to instantly cancel the accts and hence you get bad checks.
P2P is not much different except once they get a good connection to pass them thru they can usually depend on it for a longer period. But again once spooked they have to start all over again.

The sooner we all realize that patience is whats required and that except for their VIP players funds are just not going to be tossed back and forth so easily as was in the past. I know of 1 poker site that will send P2P within a few days 1 week and then take 2 to 3 weeks at other times. Cks from most sites are taking anywhere from 1 to 4 months to recieve from some of the sites. It doesnt mean they are cheating or trying to steal , its just they have to jump thru a lot of hoops to make sure if the funds are interuppted somewhere in the process they are not easily traceable back to them. This is not an easy thing to do today.
Bovada is a master of doing this and even they frequently have delays, bad checks, etc....But if you can stay patient i think its all going to work out in the present climate.
More books are also allowing player to player transfers, this is a great way when its possible. 1 guy wants to deposit, you want to withdraw so you exchange funds privately. If offshores are to stay viable in the near term this is probably going to be the way to go...

there are other books that make you wait alot longer than 2 wks......

however,.......that situation is not typical for betislands,.......

did they lose a processor or two?

The check processing problems are BS. Most books use MO's. You sure as shit can't stop someone from buying MO's and paying out players. I could easily go around to every ma' and pop joint and gas stations and collect thousands upon thousands in MO's.

Last I was paid by BI this is how they paid me. For books to use checks(which many do not any more) is just stupid IMO

if you dont play at 7red currently and you hear they were related somehow, why are you even asking? just stay away for now and go with a book with better reputation for the time being. i just deposited at them for first time last week so have money there and cannot wd yet due to taking bonus. i hope they are stable but i know i wont be redepositing any time soon until i see they are stable and not affected by whatever the heck happened to bi.

Dear 7Red customers & RXer's,

7Red's operations have no affiliation with Betislands and has in no way been affected by their recently announced collapse. It is business as usual at 7Red. Wagers are being accepted and payouts are being processed quickly and professionally. As with many things related to Betislands word of our merger by Jon was riddled with half-truths and grossly exaggerated. Betislands and Jon approached us about a potential merger but as you can see he had no money to run his business let alone buy ours. We will be here as always to support our customers and do everything possible to make you proud to say you do business with 7Red.

Sincerely,

thx for posting this Fred

I was pretty sure betislands was stretching a bit by claiming you and them were already Merged/bought out/one company.. it was a hope of theirs to save the company.. you guys probably took one look at the "books" and then decided it was too forgone at that point.. just my opinion I guess because I have no facts.

Murph, do you find it odd 7Red didn't deny any of this until today? The facts are all over the place at SBR, and have been for weeks now.

Here's Bill Dozer from a month ago:
We are still getting updates from BI on this. Yes, they are on their wagering platform now. That's why you are seeing earlier lines and overnights. Here is what else we know so far...

BetIslands is running 7redsports now and took over their office space in the EZ building.*

Now here is Jon

Hope all is well as confirmed by SBR , we saw an opportunity to grab a small book*
and an opportunity to utilize wagering service thats providing the things you guys have always asked for : earlier lines , overnight lines on all mayor sports , better racebook amongst other things.

This is actually a positive step for us with an attempt to expand , our payouts have continued to go out on time like they always have , we have expanded our facilites and a new website + new betting engine is coming out in the next few days.

i decided that was it........Was like pullin' teeth to get it zeroed out

7red thanks for posting..even with your written words, this is the same thing we heard from bi and somewhat from sbr. this kind of stuff is giving offshores a major black eye. i know personally i have wittled myself down to maybe 1 or 2 offshores book that i wil feel most comfortable leaving my money in. i hope you guys are legit for the sake of my small funds and other player's funds. i guess time will tell.

Now here is Jon

I read those things too.. and believe me that is also why I got "excited" that Jon would be participating in the marketing and things at 7red...

(assumption only)I do believe he made a deal with them and it was kind of a gentleman's agreement like okay here is the deal I propose.. would you be interested... they worked out a price and shook hands and had some drinks over it probably. Over the next 10-14 days (which I believe is approx the time of the proposed "merger" and also when people were finding out how bad of shape Betislands was in) things began being discovered by 7red when Betislands had to show all its cards.. here is our books.. here is how much in red we are.. here is how much we have allowed sharps to bury us and still hold balances... 7red was probably overwhelmed and immediately wanted to pull back quite a bit... I assume they didnt just say get the hell out .. we change our minds.. but I do think once a day or two passed and they had sent all the bookwork to the money guy and the top manager running the shop... he of course would say hell no.. the deal was probably never official anyway / paperwork signed..etc .. it was just all a hope and arrangement that would gradually start happening... betislands would move to 7red offices (which yes are in EZ's building).. but even SBR has claimed that there is different financial backing for EZ and 7red.. check the reviews yourself.

I do believe over time we will be able to sort this out.. but as far as we know by proof here and everywhere else, no one is complaining at all about 7redsports on payouts or anything.. so as far as we know its business as usual.

I will say it is possible that my assumptions could be wrong --- Obviously... but I have nothing in front of me that is overwhelming to disagree with my own thoughts.... I of course will not look the other way if I find out anything different and I would expect others to do the same as I would not throw anyone to the wolves.

I do hope time just proves it naturally... if nothing is discovered that 7red has plans to close nor Jon works there then let the payouts and no slow paying or stiffing speak for itself...trust for 7red will be earned with time... I just think the reaction is natural of people to be worried.. I myself have been searching for any info I can find to protect the posters and also because I would never let what happened with Betislands to happen if I knew about it. Sorry but it's not in my blood or chemical balance :)
