I've seen it a few times but that's about it. They must be trying to get rid of these things.

I read some reviews on it, the product basically sucks and the pop you produce is only good for a few days, and it's not too cheap either !

You need co2 cartridges....it's probably about as practical as those home beer making things that take up a large amount of space in your refrigerator.

a can of coke / pepsi costs about 25 cents on sale, like 4 twelve packs for $12 very often, make it 30 cents if you don't bring the can back. 2 liter bottles go flat and you can't really take them in the car.

Yeah, I looked into it last year. Very expensive to keep buying those co2 cartridges. You can only buy them from the company that makes that machine because other cheaper co2 carts will not fit it.

They make it sound like you're getting the pop for pennies a gallon on the ads....

That would be a crappy gift for the biggest pop drinker.

I never touch the stuff myself ( except as a mixer) but my wife drinks diet Pepsi like it was beer ! :):)

It's hard to believe that people buy these things. There is no way DIY soda tastes better than what comes from a Coca Cola or Pepsi bottling company. Just as a soda dispenser in a fast food restaurant isn't as good as a bottle of soda. There is no replacement with the blend in factory that is done with precision. Jim Cramer had pimped this stock symbol SODA. In August of 2011 the stock dropped from the mid-seventies to $34 in the space of weeks. It is currently $42.20.

NFL Jersey. I had a hookup that worked at Nike and get 40% off everything except the custom gear, so i didn't pay nearly as much as he thinks I did...

think I am going to take this back though, just tell him I think it will to expensive to upkeep. bought it at bed bath and beyond, sure I can find something for the house that well use more

At some point in life, I think one has to put soda into the "candy" category. I eliminated all sugar drinks from my diet many years ago. Now if I have a few sips I am amazed I was putting that crap in my body. Pure sugar.

You guys are trashing this thing, but I have one and actually love it. I used it to get OFF of soda. I don't drink coffee so I used to drink a 2 liter of coke per day which packs on the calories. Tried coke zero, but I'm always concerned about those chemical sweeteners. So I use this thing to make plain seltzer water, and it works great. The 1 liter seltzers at the store are often $1 a piece, and I gotta lug them home. With this thing, I fill the bottle up at the tap which is ice cold, then put the bubbles in it, and i'm good to go. It doesnt go flat any quicker than anything store bought, but its irrelevant because the bottles are either half a liter or 1 liter and i drink the whole thing. When you do the math it comes down to about 25 cents a bottle. It isn't free, but its more convenient for me.

Is it better than cocacola? Prolly not. But it's cheaper and easier than seltzer water

I didn't know the thing cost that much.

I'm quite certain that 90% of people would only use this thing a couple of times before it gets mothballed.
