Why does the NFL not play a MNF game on x-mas eve? Don't you think it would get huge ratings even if it is Zona vs. jax? Now we get to watch some crap bowl game and non-meaningful NBA games on X-mas. Also, what happened to playing one regular season game at 1:00 PM, 4:30 PM and 8:00 PM after the college regular season is over? Doe the NFL have some deal with the NCAA not to compete with crap bowl games in mid-December? There were 11 NFL games at 1:00 PM yesterday and more than a handful with meaningful playoff implications. Why could they not play 3 on Saturday and 1 on MNF so there would only be 8 games at 1:00 PM? I just think the NFL is dropping the ball on this and can get more ratings by spreading the games out late in the season but I don't understand the motive.
I actually think the christmas day nba games have a lot of "meaning"... the tv games are filled with high caliber playoff teams imo.
As far as xmas eve.. well a bowl game is on espn and espn owns the rights to monday nights so this year alone it would not want to compete with itself.. so even if every other year was different, I think this one wouldnt be

Seeing as they must schedule Monday Night Games at the beginning of the season, and seeing as the vast majority of players want to be home on Christmas, not playing some game, ESPN was smart not scheduling a game. Many people celebrate Christmas Tonight. Many of my friends do. Look at the garbage game you got last Monday Night. There have been many trash games on Monday Night.
