had very few options with respect to watching games

It just reminded me how much I dislike the NBA. The intensity was actually pretty good for a change, probably because they were all highly watched Christmas Day games. But I still hate

1) the inconsistent officiating
2) superstar treatment
3) and the superstars crying and bitching and acting like Prima donnas on half the plays, even when replays show they're just being a loser
4) flopping, even my boy Ray Ray nauseated me with his bad acting

I just don't enjoy watching so many of them play (and that's not saying they're not talented)

Watched first 3 games yesterday, but that was only because I played daily fantasy NBA for the first time.

Knicks / Lakers game was great.

Heat / OKC game was great.

Boston / Brooklyn game was great (cuz I'm a Boston homer). :lolBIG: and Rondo outplayed D Williams.

Can't really get into NBA till after March Madness is finished......I love college hoops though....NBA I get into more once playoffs start which is a season by itself IMO.

I concur the post season is much much much better, as the intensity level is once again more consistent. However, the officiating and the Prima donas still make it tough for me to watch

I think a lot of people would agree with you, but the little things ruin it for me. Phantom calls, no calls, wailing and flopping turn me off

Something i always wondered as i watched 80's 90's ball and how "tough defense" was i think it is alot harder now this flopping shit is brutal i would rather go into the lane and worry about hard fouls then someone flopping it makes it hard to get to the rim imo

especially #3

and i think a few of the flagrant/technical fouls shouldnt have been called.

This ruins it for me as well, but it happens so much in college too. I barely watch basketball because I get so frustrated with flopping and inconsistent officiating

The product is so bad to me that even when I have action on a game I can only stand to watch the last couple minutes.

Sometimes I like the awful officiating some time I hate it. Depends who you bet on. It is definitely inconsistent though. As far as the effort, that's only because they were nationally televised. You see a big dropoff in intensity on the nba TV games. The best time to watch and bet on the nba is the playoffs because everyone brings their A game.
