OK I am in Mexico for another several days. Most of the group went back today but I am here with a few others for 3 more days. Weather is kinda crappy right now, so I'm just killing some time around the pool with the laptop/tablet...is there any way I can exploit my location to play real money online poker? I'm assuming no, not without a Mexican bank account...right?

Waiting for a payout not a problem if I have to get mailed a check or whatever when I get back to the states. Just not sure there is any depositing advantage given my location since my bank account is US based still. Or is a MG type deposit option more viable here then in the states? :think2:

Not sure how this works. If this is too "sensitive" to post here mod can delete and PM me, no worries.

You only can try by attempting to open a bank acct I suppose.. but getting pokerstars or whoever to approve your acct that quick probably won't happen.. its usually a 1-3week process. seriously

and you probably need an address not a hotel or something..

just play on 5dimes / betonline/ bovada / etc usa usable poker software from sportsbooks

I have a physical address here I could use as my brother owns a condo here at the resort (he doesn't live here but it isn't a time share or anything, he actually owns it and receives some mail here). But I suppose you're right, the bank account is all that matters as I suspected.

I know I could play at a US friendly site but was kind of hoping to relive the old pokerstars days which I remember so fondly. :)

it might not be that hard getting a bank acct.. just claim you are filing the paperwork for work permit or whatever and use your brothers address because pokerstars and others would require a document with address on it.. Could use a bank printed form with your addy and on their letterhead :)

Yeah probably not worth the trouble of all that for a couple days of small action (I only play like 2/4 limit ring games usually). I guess I was kind of hoping that I could use my Visa and magically PS would be like "oh, you're not in the states right now, sounds good, no problem". Hahaha.

yea bud.. u are definitely better off not going that route considering your gross stretch of the truth and hoops to jump through :D

I would suggest though checking out one of the sites I listed before.. they all have "decent enough" software where you can get some action in if you must. Other poker clients exist as well but I have no previous use of them so I cannot comment much on it.

Have tried BO and don't really like them. Have heard good things about Bovada recently and will prob give them a shot.
