Randall Cobb (ankle) will test his ankle in Friday's practice and will "see where we're at on Sunday" versus Minnesota.

Cobb watched practice from the sidelines again on Thursday, just as he did on Wednesday. The receiver and return man confirmed the issue isn't of the high-ankle variety, which is good news for his immediate future. "We're going to take it day by day and see where we're at on Sunday," Cobb said. "We'll test it tomorrow and see how much progression I've made over the past few days." Cobb confirmed the knee injury that he's been listed with isn't much of an issue at all. His Week 17 status is truly up in the air at the moment, but we should know more once Friday afternoon rolls around.

FOX Sports' Jay Glazer reports that Randall Cobb (ankle) will not play Sunday afternoon against the Vikings.

Cobb was listed as questionable on the injury report after getting in just one "limited" practice during the week. The Packers will have to lean on a healthy Jordy Nelson, Greg Jennings, and James Jones to carry the mail at receiver. Jermichael Finley has also been more of a factor on offense over the past month or so. If the Packers clinch a first-round bye with a Week 17 win over the Vikings, Cobb will have two more weeks to get the ankle right.

Randall Cobb (ankle, knee) is inactive for Sunday's regular-season finale at Minnesota, as expected.

Cobb returned to a limited practice Friday, but the Packers aren't going to risk an aggravation for a player who has become arguably the most valuable on the team behind Aaron Rodgers. With Jordy Nelson returning, Rodgers still has an impressive arsenal of weapons in the passing game. The rest of Green Bay's inactives: DB Charles Woodson, CB Davon House, RB James Starks, LB Terrell Manning, WR Donald Driver, and DT Jordan Miller.
