Last week, blackjack dealer Joyce Rhone was attacked with razors at a Bellagio table. Co-worker Brenda Stokes Wilson appeared in court Friday, and was charged with felony burglary, battery with a deadly weapon and mayhem with a deadly weapon, according to the Las Vegas Sun. The report quoted Stokes Wilson' s grandfather as saying she was jealous of former friend Rhone because of attention her boyfriend paid Rhone.
Stokes Wilson, 50, also is implicated in the stabbing death of 10-year-old Jade Morris, daughter of that boyfriend. The girl's body was found by a man walking his dog. She was last seen when Stokes Wilson took her on a shopping trip Dec. 21. That night, Rhone was attacked on the Bellagio's crowded casino floor. Though receiving deep slashes on her face, she is expected to recover.
According to an Associated Press story, jailed Stokes Wilson is the prime suspect in Jade Morris' death, and murder charges may be filed pending analysis of evidence.
