If you can find Rickey Jay stuff, he's amazing at sleight of hand... Here's a 1/4th of his off-broadway show:

How the heck does he do this?

When it comes to magic I am your man, Zit...... however....

1st rule of magic is..... never reveal the method.

Fun facts about this trick.

1.Was voted by the best card trick of , like, the last 50 years or something

2. When it was shown to Churchill he loved it so much, he had it repeated like 6 times
which actually violated the 2nd rule of magic, which is to never/seldom repeat a trick

btw it uses any deck and no assistant needed. Or as a magician might say, its an impromptu trick

I love this card trick.. had forgotten about it for quite some time.. so much slight of hand and false shuffling and cuts in this its not even funny!

I think david blaine does very well too with card tricks. the one at the 3:30 mark in this next video is crazy when he makes the card travel through the stack of cards bent and says "fruit loops" LOL it is just NUTS!

David Blaine is very good but the funny thing is alot of these tricks are just variations of a few different techniques. Blaine is simply doing a double lift in that trick. thats why the one time Fruit Loops snapped and went to grab the card he didnt let him, cause it was, at that point the second card down, not the top card. When he bent the card, he actually bent the top 2 cards, then put the bent card that wasn't fruit loops card in the middle, leaving fruit loops card on the top. Still very cool to watch though.

how did he make it appear to float up through the deck? I mean that part where it floats upwards through the deck is the craziest part.. it seems to like move up right to the top. lol

Good stuff guys. As a kid I loved doing magic tricks with cards. Brings back memories. Actually had a few that I was pretty good at.

Blaine bends 2 cards then when he puts the one card in the middle of the deck that isn't the guys card he holds down the top card (which is the guys card) with his 3 fingers and thumb. then when the kid snaps his fingers he releases the pressure on the top card and it "springs" to the top. Blaine is very good. Alot of times even when you know what he is doing its hard to pick up. For example, when he cuts the guys card to the middle of the deck he isn't really cutting it to the middle. He is putting it 1 card from the top, but it sure looks like he is cutting it to the middle even when you know he isn't.

As far as the out of this world card trick its all in the way he sets up the cards. Sure, he lets the lady look through the deck and even lets her shuffle them but then he takes the cards back and sets the deck up correctly. and by correctly what i mean is he puts all 26 red cards on the top of the deck and all 26 black cards on the bottom of the deck. (well generally thats the way you set it up, in his version of the trick he did have the 2 cards that were wrong and he probably knew where those 2 cards were and when the lady put it in the wrong pile he corrected her) But typically its all 26 red cards followed by all 26 black cards. Now when the person puts out the first 24 cards they are all red, it doesnt matter what pile they put them in they are all red. then he switches the piles and the rest of the cards are all black. so at the end 1 of the piles is set up exactly right and the other pile is just set up in reverse

Basically if you want to see what im talking about watch the end of the trick closely. notice the first pile he just turns the cards over cause they were already in the correct order and then watch him completely pick the 2nd pile up and flip the 2nd pile except for the 1st card on the table, cause that pile was reversed.
