Last week I said the game would close at 8, I see movement this morning with mostly everyone on screen going to 9.5. I'm very confident it won't go up, what do you guys think? I got nd +11-30 two weeks ago very large And would love it if I can get Bama-8-110 on game day....

7.5.....all my buddies are pounding the Irish. If it is like that here in the south, I can only imagine the rest of the country. I love the over personally....

Bama will score at least 28. You would have to think that ND will at least show up and put 14 on the board.

Bama is not scoring 28 without a defensive/ST td. The ST is the one decided advantage in this game though.

Bama averages 38 ppg while shutting down the offense mid-3Q in almost every game. I think they will score at least 28. This is the most balanced attack ND has seen all year. They haven't faced an O-line that can hold the jock straps of Bama. The closest thing was maybe Stanford and they rushed for 150. Look for Bama to crest the 200 yard mark easily here. The question will be if ND can match scores with Bama.....which means can Golson move the ball through the air against them. Bama will get at least 28 in this game. Facing a D like ND is not that big of a deal to the Tide. Its more a status quo for them. Base your capping off that and try to figure how many can ND put up and there will be the side you take.

How did that theory work for Florida and LSU in their bowl games?

Sharp post albatross I agree with everything except the fact that bama facing this nd defense is no big deal, I believe the Irish defense can cause some problems for bama..

ND isn't going to cause any problems for Bama. This line doesn't go any further than right now....

I love it, you blindly think bama is just going to score at will against the top scoring defense in the country. Not 1 stat shows bama scoring 28. Don't get me wrong, maybe bama does score 28. It wouldnt be the biggest shock of all time or anything, but to just say it so confidently is crazy talk. ND gives up 10 ppg but bama will score atleast 28 cause they average 38 ppg. Bama played 1 good defense all season, LSU. thats it, so it shouldnt be a surprise they averaged 38 ppg. oklahoma averages 40 ppg, remember what they scored at home against ND, 13. USC averages 34 ppg, again at home, they scored 13. The most ND gave up the whole year was 26, and that was the only time they allowed any team more then 17 points. ND played alot of teams that average 30+ ppg and not one of them came close to 28 against ND.

I love the fact you brought up Oklahoma. TAM is holding them down the same, if not better than ND did. Never said ND wasnt great on D. The fact that Bama has a different O, meaning the running attack and Oline, will be something ND hasnt been close to seeing. 28 isn't all that many points, so back to my OP......how many will ND score? The only way Bama doesn't get there is if have a DD lead and is playing lights out, then Saban will go in conservative mode.

Nd is the #1 defense in the country.. Are you saying there isn't a defense in the country that could cause problems for bama's offense??

I don't look at ND as the best defense in the country... 3 teams in the SEC have better defenses, including Bama. Of Course, this is just my opinion.... LSU held them to 21 thats pretty impressive. I don't think ND does that, in fact, I expect Bama to put up 30+ on them. ND is a very good defense but no where near the best in the country... although they have played well.. My favorite thing about ND is their ability to play on the road... but holding down OU doesn't translate that they will hold down Bama.

And I am very confident that the line isn't moving below 9 which is why I posted in this thread

Do you really believe that ND's defense is the best defense in the country?

Didn't we learn last year that if you give Nick Saban 45 days to prepare for one team's offense that he will totally shut that offense down?

They are the #1 team in the country. Why are they the #1 team in the country? Because of their defense. Period.
