I think this is my only choice, i cant find anyone that services my area. The problem im having is that these satellite providers (hughesNet) put a cap on what you can use per month, which sucks. They are offering me up to 40gb a month, how fast would i cap out with this? I will mostly be playing ps3 online and surfing the web also my daughter will be using her ipad and downlaoading apps and such. Also if i want to use netflix, how much would that use?

40gb a month is a joke.

I have 250gb and always am limited.. but man if I were u I would find a different option.. or see if they have a higher package.. your bound to go over very fast with that amount

netflix would use that very easily.. each movie (dvd quality) is around 750mb.. `

There was a provider a couple of years ago called Blue Sky that provided internet service. I think their website was gotsky.com. I think another alternative might be AT+T u-verse if they have it available in your area. Hope that helps.

I had, but my review would be pointless as it was 10 years ago and I am sure it has gotten better. I liked it much better than dialup, but nowhere near highspeed dsl

Where are you in texas that satellite is your only option? 40gb cap is terrible...very easy to burn through that in one week.

Used Hughesnet for years before i moved and let me warn u it sucks ass. Surfing the net speed wise it was ok but that limit was just such a pain in the ass i would never recommend anyone buy anything from those crooks. But when its your only option well not much u can do about it.
