Peter Luger the way to go if you had to pick one?
Two people, and really don't want to spend more than $100/pp with tip. Thanks

I know there are a couple of NY threads running around. I'll be here for like 9 days-longest time ever, and I need to hit some good eats.

Staying at Crown Plaza times square.

Will $100 even get you beyond the appetizer menu at a place like that?

I hope so...$89 steak for 2. Couple drinks and sides should get in around there from what I read.
This place seems like the go-to spot, but just wanted to see if there was anything better.
I'm spoiled in Dallas.

One of the best steaks I had in New York was at a bar/restaurant on the corner of Dominick and Hudson called Cody's. They used to serve a 24oz porterhouse that was something special. Not even sure if the place is there anymore.

Thanks for the picks. Going to try and hit a couple of them.
We have a Mortons here and used to have a Smith & Wollensky.
The S&W building has been sitting vacant-same colors-for 6+ years.

Hey brother, I just wanna give you a NYC heads up...if you are traveling across the Williamsburg Bridge to Brooklyn to hit up Peter Lugers remember to bring CASH....they only take cash or their own credit card...and since you are from out of town I am guessing you do not have one...cheers

How about Morton's and the Palm....or is the Palm only on the west coast?
