They lost to the eventual Superbowl champ both times (GB, NYG).
Nobody beat those teams that year in the playoffs.

Just sayin, that stat is tired.

Seattle could be this years Super Bowl Champ........................ They have been the hottest team the last 6 weeks in the NFL

The past few sb champs weren't exactly hot coming in the playoffs. Just saying.... There were no long win streaks.

The past 3 SB champs ended the year 3-3. Not sayin Houston is gonna win, but they are the only playoff team this year that went 3-3 in the final 6 weeks. For some reason, that is tempting me to take HOU +9.5.

Of course they could. The point I'm getting at is people are throwing around that comment like it holds some weight.
Who cares that ATL lost their first playoff game each year. It's not like some scrub took them out. That's all I'm saying.

How about the Giants both years they won it?

kind of a trick question since I was hoping somebody said the Giants lol... explain how going from 7-7...to 9-7....is "hot"?

I don't even consider the Packers hot at that time. It was Aaron Rodgers possessed. He said it himself....he said he felt something different like he was invincible. I aint say it, he said that

there are only two "hot" teams left. in Seattle and Denver. But they have to be left...Seattle/washington...somebody had to win. my point is... you can't name "hot" teams that win it...because that is a myth that people just label those teams with because they don't know what else to describe it by. Teams that are "hot" never win it. So why is it that the general public think a "hot" team always wins it?

In 2010 New Orleans finished 8-2 down the stretch and basically sat everyone out the last week they lost. So they were more like 8-1.
THEY beat Indy in the Super Bowl

you didn't point out that they were only 8-8 ATS. AKA...you wouldn't of made any money betting on them every game in the reg season ATS. and they lost their week 17 game and 3 straight.. How is that hot?

You are making my point for me Woody.

anymore "hot" teams?

Patriots were 18-0....can't get much hotter than that.... and you can bet that if N/E beats Giants in that superbowl to go 19-0. It would be...Patriots were hot thats why they won it. But nah, Giants won that Superbowl...and now they are "hot'??? LOL wtf is going on

how about the Arizona Cardinals who were 9-5 when they locked up their division. Finished 9-7. public starts thinking..."damn they aren't hot anymore".... Cardinals win 3 straight, including a 9 point underdog in carolina(who was "hot"). and almost beat Woodys Steelers in the superbowl. Hot teams are least likely to win the superbowl if you ask me

its proven that they can't sustain that kind of success in the playoffs.
