How many jobs have you had the last 5 years??

I've been at the same place for the last 5 years, working part time as the office manager.
Today was my last day... Not really happy to leave... but hopefully this traveling thing will be worth it.

Over that span, I've had 3 online jobs, if they count as jobs :grandmais (2 as forum mods, one as a writer) and then one other seasonal "real" part time job. 5 jobs over the last 5 years, but been at the place I just left the entire time. Crazy I am done there.... I am sure I bounce around a little more than most given the part time hours...

I've been a software developer for the same company since 1997, and I did contract work for them before that for 5 years.

Coming up on my 12th year with the same company. I was a job jumper until I found my home, having never held a job for more than 3 years.

A little misleading though because one was waiting tables in college and another was an internship

Same company for 30 years until July of 2010 when our plant closed......I'm officially retired at 52 and I would never consider working for anyone again. Taking care of my parents who are both 88 and would otherwise be in a nursing home has turned out to be the most fulfilling thing I have ever done. Some days are really hard but I would never trade this time I am so lucky to be able to spend with them.....

On Monday I will be starting my 6th different job in 5 years. I would rather have something more stable but this seems to be the only way to get work in my field as a consultant.

By the way, this will be the 3rd time I will be working for this company so at least it shows potential future employers that I do good enough work to get asked back.
