Just one more poll in honor of awards season. This is an really hard decision IMO, some really awful snubs here.

For me I ultimately chose Saving Private Ryan because I think it's one of the best made movies in history, and the fact that shakespeare in love is downright awful.

But Star wars and Lord of the rings:Two Towers were both close for me.

Saving Private Ryan or The Two Towers

Some of these movies that win awards shows how twisted most movie-critics' minds are...

I can't believe how many shit movies win Best Picture and then we never hear about them ever again.

Anyone watch the one that won last year? That silent movie? Anyone remember?

Forest Gump won that year. Wouldn't really call that a snub. Both fantastic movies.

When the greatest movie of alltime does not win I dont care which movie it was up against

Yea The Artist shouldn't have won. Warhorse and The Help were both a lot better

I understand you think it's the best movie ever, but you have to put it into perspective. I'm sure you can agree that Forest Gump was an oscar caliber film. It is flat out horrific that movies like chicago and Shakespeare in love have oscars over lotr and saving private ryan.

You can make a strong case for Avatar deserving to win over the The Hurt Locker

After Saving Private Ryan lost to Shakespeare in Love, I stopped watching the Oscars and haven't bothered with them since.

These are the films that are recognized as the biggest snubs in history. what would you have had on the list?

Star wars, saving private ryan, citizen kane, lord of the rings. These movies werent snubbed in your opinion?

If you google search this topic these are the movies you will consistently see listed.

Yea that year was crazy.

I agree about avatar. If you read one of my earlier posts i talked about forgetting it. the highest grossing film of all time deserves to win best picture imo.
