Any ticket brokers out there?

A good friend of mine has two Masters badges, which he has been selling for the past five years. A banker is buying them for $3,000 each this year and wants to sign him to a 10-year contract. He asked me what would be a reasonable projected price would be . Any ideas?

I would not sign a contract with the banker as getting Masters badges is like having gold

That sounds like good advice, Gravy. I figured if you increased the price by $1,000 every two or three years would be fair market value.

Why limit the competition?
Unless you think the Masters is not going to be the Masters 10 years from now this is insane.

Not sure how it works at other places but I'm a season ticket holder at Saratoga Race Track. If they find you selling your seats for more than face value they obtain the right to revoke your seats.

Doesn't bother me as I sell the days I can't go for face value. But if your a season ticket holder anywhere it's good to look into and know the policies of re-selling tickets.

oh yeah. The Masters badges aren't supposed to be resold, but this banker got in touch with my buddy through friends. I don't believe you can find Masters tickets on say, Stubhub. It's a private sale. I believe the Masters can take the tickets away if they find they are being scalped.

No sure things in the ticket business anymore...

However the masters is.

Unless its foolish money, wouldn't sell a 10yr commitment.

on a side note.. This year Super Bowl going to be a bloodbath for brokers if its pats/falcons

What's the best way to get Super Bowl tix? I hear it's possible to just fly down there and scalp the day of game for pretty cheap. Not sure what that means though when the nosebleeds face are 800!

Masters is on my bucket list.......let him know 2014 and onwards I am interested, assuming he sold 2013
