I dont think we will see a ban yet. Throughout history when the Dictators have forced control on the people they usually started with 1 thing. A National registry. That is what will result from tomorrows play acting at the White House. They are used car salesmen they know no other way. They are scaring you by saying the bar will be real high so when they eventually settle for a National Registry everyone will say 'Ok thats not so bad"
Then they will begin to disarm people, if your pulled over and arrested for say DWI they will ck the database see u have guns and a SWAT team will be at your house in minutes...youll never see ur gun again.

I don't own a gun or know much about guns, but why do individuals own so many guns? I am not asking to start a debate, I am curious? Also, why are guns so

Ya Florida gun show is ft lauderdale is expecting to shatter records for attendance. The stores and shows cannot keep with demand. I have never seen anything like this.
just glad I have everything I need already. I estimate that in 2 years from now you will see a full assault weapons ban , 10 round max magazines and outrageously overbearing rules on who can purchase any type of firearm.

why do individuals need so many guns? No clue. Why do people need more than one car? Hard to answer why someone needs anything. One mans logic can't be reasonably be applied to another man. I may feel I need to protect against zombies, or I like collecting, or I like target practice. Doesn't really matter. If the law allows it I can have as many guns without having to justifyit
Guns are expensive because of the engineering involved. Like a watch some guns are very sophisticated machines.

What is the difference in basic pistol that a person would own 10. I get the differnce in a shotgun and a pistol.

rifles are typically used for hunting,target shooting and defense of a large area of land
pistols are used for self defense in a carry situation and home invasion.. Also good for target practice

I have a .22 rifle to shoot at targets....bullets are cheap....and easy to handle. I have a .45 handgun for self-defense. I also have a .32 (small, easier to conceal).
I have a good friend that is a retired Coast Guard Gunner's Mate (Senior Chief/E8). He works for the State Department now teaching weapons training in Quantico at the FBI/State Dept facility. He builds and sells weapons as a hobby/for side money. He said it is nearly impossible to get just the basic core of an assault rifle right now...and if you can find one it's likely 3x what it would normall sell for. I have no interest in getting one....but I've shot plenty of them and they are fun to shoot.
