Legality Question

Okay so I have a question about handicapping websites.

If you were to run out a site that gave out picks and kept a running total of your record, is that illegal? Each pick would have a unit total for each and the results would reflect it with juice accounted for losses.

From what I understand it's not illegal. But just wanted to be sure. Thanks.

It is not illegal to tout sportspicks.. you are not the one betting and therefore you have no problems with illegal activity as long as if you are selling picks you pay taxes on the tracked income.

GL and please if you want to continue with anything to do with sports touting/selling picks then due so in the Site Promotions section.

As long as you are paying taxes on the income its is just like having a job of picking stocks bud. Nothing illegal about telling others to play a sports game one way or another.. it is out of your control if they then place those wagers in vegas or illegally in other ways.

Thanks. We were posting results and and I had a result of the day as for example -1.3 units. And having The total be +2.9. Something along those lines. He believes doing so is illegal. And the picks are given out for free so the taxes do not apply.

posting picks is not illegal.. we have thousands of people doing it every day in our forums

Feel free to track your plays in our forums in the appropriate areas but please dont make mention of outside websites if you do so
