Besides gambling to begin with, what are your thoughts?

Bad money management (chasing)?

Playing bad lines?

Playing with a tout?

Let's hear it RXers.

I think even experienced gamblers are guilty of chasing sometimes.

For a newbie, I think listening to much to others viewpoints/analysis of the game is the biggest flaw. Letting others decide for you what you are betting on.

Good question btw

Money Management: NO (half of the experienced gamblers still suffer from this)
Bad Lines: No (half of experienced gamblers still bet them)
Playing with a tout: YES (This is how I really jumped into sports betting thinking I could make bank)

But Truthfully I think there are two mistakes that most new gamblers make.
1) Betting Favorites. A lot of the time newer gamblers are afraid to bet dogs.
2) Following ESPN and their commentators. (Of course ESPN knows best right? LOL)

Personally I used to bet a ton of Unders when I first got into betting sports, I always felt that I was ahead until I lost... I think that psyche may come into play with others.

These are some of the BEST games to bet on IMO.

for me also but

I had a nice conversation with a guy today and he lives in Vegas and is a full time gambler for 30 + years now, That is what he told me.

He also said that he watches about 10% of the games he bets on

for what its worth
