I've heard some chatter that pinny's line moves are computer generated and not being manually adjusted by a lines manager. Clearly pinny employs several highly skilled lines managers but is there any truth to the rumor that their moves on the "screen" are computer generated? I've been looking at this damn screen for long enough (over a decade) to know its common knowledge that pinny moves more often than anyone with mostly everyone else following on significant moves, my curiosity has got the best of me :think2: What makes pinny so special that they literally dictate the line worldwide and somehow are able to move faster than anyone! Forgive my ignorance, I understand a lot about pinny, probably more than your avg joe shmow player but I can't find for the life of me figure out how they can practically own the market.....

I personally think that we have seen serious line manipulation in college hoops the last 3 years or so across the board.

No idea about Pinny though jb.

I've seen my fair share of manipulation also Vincent but not sure if I can narrow it down to one league or even sport for that matter.

no insight.. just thought/guess

Pinny has linesmakers and movers DEFINITELY and they have real sharp moves and also what would be considered phantom moves (probably about an even amount of both) .. this is to avoid people from betting all "steam" that they represent

Pinny likes to have a "Pinny" lean on some games. Let's face it, they like to gamble where most books don't! That's the only way a book makes money!

Completely disagree with this statement.

Pinny line moves are computer generated in My opinion, as most books probably are. I believe this because I have made large (max) bets on hockey games in the wee hours of the morning and moved the pinny line as result. It doesn't take much to move a pinny line it probably has to do with bet size in relationship to the current handle.

Now if you want a book that gambles check out the greek - that bookmaker is sharp and they will take stands

I think they probably auto-move overnights Powerz since there are low limits. When the head lineman is there in the morning and games can be max-bet, they take positions on who is playing what.
