Can you believe this?

So this guy will get weighed by the team six random times throughout next year. The first three times he must be under 230 and the next three times under 235.

Each time he is weighed, if he comes in under the number, he will receive 100K for a potential 600K.

All the guy has to do is put down the deep fried cheese and actually do some cardio and he'll make a bunch of cash.

And I'm betting he won't do it.

The Philadelphia Phillies have given Delmon Young a huge incentive to shed a few pounds. $600,000 worth of motivation, to be precise.

According to the Associated Press, Young will be weighed by the Phillies six times this season and each time that he's within the agreed-upon weight, he'll receive $100,000 on top of of the $750,000 for which he signed.

Young weighed 238 pounds during his initial physical with the team on Tuesday. He'll have to weigh 230 pounds or less the next time he steps on the scale to receive his first bonus, according to philly.com.

"I've been on a strict diet," Young told reporters. "You can get carried away on clubhouse food and late-night room service. Some ice cream and good-luck cakes. But when you go back to the outfield, you have got to eat lighter."

All that stands between new Phillies outfielder Delmon Young and $600,000 is eight pounds. Young's new contract with Philadelphia has several weight clauses that require him to get down to 230 pounds. He's currently at 238 pounds.

Well he is already 8 pounds over, good luck with that.

Not a bad incentive for Delmon to drop some weight. 8 pounds for the 1st $100k, I'm thinking he will make weight all 6 times and collect an additional $600k.
