Australian Open: Murray slight favorite over Federer

Roger Federer (+132) vs. Andy Murray (-147)

In the most anticipated matchup of the men's draw thus far, Roger Federer takes on Andy Murray. Each of these two players won a major in 2012 and is looking to claim a spot in the final in the first major championship of 2013.

The head-to-head in this matchup is very tight with Murray holding a 10-9 advantage, most notably in 2012 Federer beat Murray in the Wimbledon final, while Murray beat the Swiss Legend in the gold medal match at the Olympics. Interestingly, nine of their last 11 matches have finished in straight sets. Of their best-of-five sets matches, only one of the four matches was not won in straight sets.

Federer did have a scare against Tsonga in the quarterfinals, while Murray hasn't even been to a tiebreak this tournament. Murray has the momentum, but he has yet to beat Federer at a major. Is tonight his night?

Seven NBA Betting Trends to Consider

Washington Wizards

The Wizards are currently the hottest bet in the Association with an eight-game cover streak. Washington covered Wednesday night at Utah and hosts Minnesota Friday night.

Golden State Warriors

The Warriors have put together a string of four consecutive covers. What makes the run more impressive is three of those covers were against top-notch opponents (Spurs, Clippers, Thunder). Golden State visits Chicago Friday.

Dallas Mavericks

The Mavs are currently the best bet in the West, covering in seven straight games. They host the high-powered Spurs Friday.

Houston Rockets

The Rockets blew another cover Wednesday night in a loss to Denver. Houston has failed to cover in nine straight games heading into Friday’s date with the Hornets in New Orleans.
