if the "host" became a super huge issue, we could've had 4 hosts (for the 4 prizes) and just organized payments as such.

no significance....there are many under 5k that i would trust (including you)
but i wouldn't trust the guy with 35 posts that signed up last month. I think to go on a case by case basis is smarter, but if i'm making a blanket statement and am expecting other people on the forums to trust their money with a complete stranger, I need some set of standards....i think 5+ years and 10k posts sounds fairly safe.
