50 years will look alot worse than 100 years in my opinion. Within 50 years, the obvious will be made more public. Once the everyday person's life changes substanially, that is when shit hits the fan. Substantially doesn't mean unemployment going from 8 to 9% or even to 15%
A question i would like answered is, in the next 20/50/100 years, will there be a nuclear weapon used and as technology increases, will the blast be even more potent than it currently is. If a nuclear bomb went off in downtown DC, a study was done showing that the majority of citizens would survive but of course, over time, people will develop cancer and other biological problems making the death toll higher.
Personally, i think North Korea is a big joke. If you study them, they are the typical "all bark and no bite". I won't get into specifics of the country but I see them as no threat to anything UNLESS with absolutely nothing to lose and knowing there regime will get overthrown in a matter of days (like a saddam Hussein) if they just discharged those weapons at South Korea or US. Right now, they just posture on stuff like this because they know if they start a war, there Kim dynasty rule is over. Even if they discharged, there is still a high percentage of failure.
