Alabama appears poised to include at least three running backs in its signing class Wednesday, which seems like a lot for a school that already returns four good ones for next season. But considering the way Saban likes to rotate running backs and the rate they can get hurt, maybe it's not such a bad thing to have so many on board. Alvin Kamara of Norcross, Georgia may be a fourth as he spent the weekend in Tuscaloosa.

T.J Yeldon, Jalston Fowler, Kenyan Drake and Dee Hart are back for Bama. Derek Henry (6-3, 245) Yulee, Florida,...Altee Tenpenny (6-0, 212) Little Rock, Arkansas...and Tyren Jones (5-9, 185) Marietta, Georgia, have all committed.

Henry broke the national high school rushing record (12,124 yards) that was set back in 1953. Arkansas is going ALL OUT to get Tenpenny to change his mind. Jones is a solid commit.

High school kids can be fickle so it will be interesting to see if all stay with their commitment.

Alabama is also bringing in three quarterbacks to go with the four scholarship quarterbacks already in the program. All three have already enrolled in school and will go through spring practice. AJ McCarron will return for his senior year and the competition to decide his backup could be especially intense with six backup fighting for the position.

If none of the three freshman step into the backup role, then all three will probably be redshirted. There has been talk of redshirt freshman Phillip Ely transferring to South Florida. If he does...probably a good move on his part.
