Return policy at Costco. I had never taken anything back but was told they had a lenient policy. Went there about three months ago and looked at some reading glasses. Picked some out as mine were really out of style. The lady told me i had to take a test, but the store was outside and adloined the building. It didn;t say Costco and i showed the optometrist my glasses i had been reading and asked for the same strength. SHe said i had to take another test, 90.00. The money wasn't the problem, but she didn't seem to know what she was doing. I picked them up in a week, no line bifocal, a no scratch coating. I could not get used to them and i realized i couldn't see out of them. I kept testing them against my old glasses and there was no comparison in strentgh. Tried to take them back last nite and was told there was no warranty because this Dr was not a Costco employee. I asked why they sent me to her and her office was adjoined to Costco. No good answer and i am out 425.00. Anyone else ever get glasses there. I have always liked them in the past.:think2:

Hopefully you used a credit card. Most companies will fight the charge if you are not happy, and even credit you until there is a final decision.

Thats a good idea mplastered.

I would call Costco or contact them by email and explain your case. My guess is they will work with you and you just had a bad manager on duty when you went in.

With that being said I don't wear glasses but I would have figured Costco was useful for buying 20 pairs.. not 1 @)

My last pair of glasses I got were from Costco. Did the whole eye exam, picked out the frames, got the glasses a few days later, never had a problem.

This eye Doc was setup inside the actual Costco building, not some building next door. Don't remember for sure but I believe my receipt was from Costco.

if the prescription is wrong -- the doc should be able to make the corrections free of charge because he goofed.
apply more pressure and he will break.

ive had very good customer service from Costco so i might also give them a call and see what they can do

i bought a sauna from them online and then a couple weeks later was showing a buddy what it looked like online and saw that it had gone on sale for $400 less....i called them up and asked if there was anything they could do (mine still hadnt been installed yet but was delivered) and they credited back the $400 with no issues at all.....

different circumstance, but hopefully if you talk to the right person they will work with you

Talked to them again yesterday and was told i could get free exam but would have to pay for lenses. I told them that i asked for the same strength as my other glasses and was told that the Dr felt i needed a different strength. I paid cash at the time as i don't use credit cards, wish i had.Have not decided whether i want to throw away 225.00 again. No , they are reading and driving glasses. There is for sure a difference between the glasses that i had in the past

forget costco -- go back to the eye doctor and tell her that the prescription she gave you is wrong -- your eyes hurt , you cant see straight etc.
She will have to make the corrections free of charge -- she cant give u an incorrect prescription / lens and do nothing about it.

Go somewhere else have them check the power of your lenses and the script she wrote you said she acted like she was lost
