a sad note,, is that mrs howell was actually in her late 60s, and 70s throughout the entire taping of gilligans island,, and sadly she was battleing breast cancer throughout virtually the entire run. Im told she was in imense pain throughout, yet never missed a cue, and was always spot on marks,,, (One of my clients was friends with her).

she must have beat the cancer then, she lived til 90 and died in 1990. Gilligan's Island was late 60's....she lived 20+ years after that silly sitcom
