No, No, not USC's head coach Lane Kiffin, but his younger brother Chris Kiffin who is the defensive line coach at Ole Miss. Chris Kiffin has been named "Recruiter of the Year" by Scout.com.. Young Kiffin was the lead recruiter on several big name players for Ole Miss. Five star Robert Nkemdiche, five star Laremy Tunsil, as well as influence on a number of top Rebel signees.

Ole Miss head coach Hugh Freeze had a plan for recruiting at Ole Miss. The Rebels would identify the 12 most highly recruited players ...regardless of locations...and recruit them relentlessly.

Damn plan worked, with Ole Miss landing a top-10 class...and LOTS of help from young Chris Kiffin.

Ole Miss was rather fortunate that most of their recruits came from the South. Only one recruit came from the North (Illinois) and no recruits came from west of Texas. Kiffin did a great job of regional recruiting. If Ole Miss does not have a banner season (2nd or better in the SEC West), do not be surprised to see young Kiffin join his brother at USC, if older brother Lane survives this season. We will find out just how good Ole Miss is early. Their first 7 games are at Vandy, Southern Mizzouri, at Texas, at Alabama, at Auburn, and home to A&M, and LSU. They are looking at a possible 3-4 start to the season.

Young Chris Kiffin is gaining a good reputation in the college football world. I'm not so
sure he just wants to make his mark on his own and not on the coattails of brother Lane.

I think he stays in the Southeast for awhile.

If he stays at Ole Miss, he will NOT make much of a mark, because Ole Miss will not have enough weapons to challenge the likes of 'Bama, LSU, A&M, and the SEC East foes they will have to face.

If young Kiffin keeps his nose clean and continues his reputation as a strong recruiter....he'll be in demand with other schools. He graduated from Colorado State in 2005 so his experience is limited. He coached at Arkansas State the year Freeze was there and obviously Freeze thought enough of him to bring him to Ole Miss.

I think Kiffin has a chance to gain some good experience at Ole Miss. He just needs to do a good job, and opportunities will come. I'm guessing he's only 27 or 28 years old.
