Guys - got my first ever smartphone last week and have been learning the ropes. I was disappointed that I could not stream movies with the phones pre-packaged software. I was disappointed again to find that Adobe Flash player was not on the Android "Google Play" site because that flash player is the one that most streaming movie sites use. Alas.. I found an archived link to download Adobe Flash for the android on the macromedia website :

http://download.macromedia.com/pub/...roid/11.1.115.17/install_flash_player_ics.apk

I downloaded the flash player , went to my goto streaming movie web site : http://www.movie2k.to/index.php

and had a streaming movie on my android galaxy s3 in less than a minute. There was an advertisement I had to "x" out, but that was the only hassle. Maybe there is an ad block app for android? Ahh.. who cares. I got what I wanted.

i wonder why Google Play doesn't carry the Adobe Flash Player by the way? Maybe exclusive to Apple now?

Download Dolphin Browser HD from the google store and they have an adblock add-on available for it puff_>>

It also runs about 1000x better than the stock app (browser)

I hear ya on that Murph! Just learn gotta learn how to market those skills and find the right people to put you in a position where you can thrive. In the meantime, know that your contributions and assistance have not gone unnoticed and are greatly appreciated by those who benefit from it.

Any ideas on a good browser to use for streaming on the iPad by chance? I've tried using Puffin and Skyfire but there's considerable lag when watching streams. Only wish there was a way to bypass the WatchESPN app, Charter only provides ESPN3 (which for some reason won't show on the app).

Thx bud bout the encouragement and the compliments!

Try out Dolphin Browser on the apple products https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/dolphin-browser-for-ipad/id460812023?mt=8

I of course do not use apple stuff, so I cannot guarantee they will do anything spectacular(streaming wise).. ha..but its worth a shot since you tried a few different avenues....At worse case you find a new browser with great tab features and many other things that you end of using for normal surfing. :toast:

I was pretty sure skyfire was one of the more popular ways to stream movies/etc, but with a better quality feed the buffering will not load well on the ipad or iphone.. maybe use wifi when you can to counter against that issue. :103631605

Think they're trying to move away from flash, since HTML5 can do the same things, and isn't proprietary... Could be wrong though.

Galaxy S3 is nice... Got one myself. Love this phone.

i did not see
"HD" as a different option

Download Dolphin Browser HD

is there more than one type in that store?

I saw "MINI" as an option over the Dolphin Browser

and there is a "jetpack" option..

not "HD"

Thanks for the tip Murph. I will use Dolphin over the stock and SkyFire (which I tried last night). As it turns out.. I can only stream movies2k from the stock browser. Dolphin and Skyfire do not recognize the stream for some reason. In any case - Dolphin will be my goto browser for anything else. I think dolphin and skyfire are not flash oriented browsers maybe. I dunno.. I have only had a smartphone for 4 days now. Truth be told... I might send it back and take the galaxy s4 which will be released in less than two months according to rumors. I dunno yet what I'll do

go in the options of dolphin and enable flash.. it might not be enabled but yes it does allow flash as I use it myself and watch plenty of sports streaming and things :)

If you cant figure it out I will try and walk you through it.
