Alabama freshman football players Eddie Williams, Tyler Hayes and DJ Pettway have been arrested and charged with second degree robbery of two fellow UA students. A (second degree) robbery conviction in Alabama can carry a 20 year prison sentence. Another player, Brent Calloway was charged with fraudulent use of a credit card.

I am a long time supporter of Alabama football and I am embarrassed for this fine University. I think my feelings would be expressed by the majority of the Bama nation. PUNT THEIR SORRY ASSES BACK TO WHERE THEY CAME FROM. There is no room for THUGS like these PUNKS at the University of Alabama. You can't spell CLASS without ASS. These four players have zero class and don't need to be anywhere near others who do. Lock'em up!

Details:

Williams was charged with carring a pistol without a license Sunday after police were called to a gas station on University Boulevard for erratic behavior. He was later released on $500 bail. A few hours later, Williams, Hayes and Pettway were charged with robbery. According to the police report, the trio assaulted a university student on the sidewalk outside of Paty Hall at about 12:30 a.m. on Monday morning knocking him unconscious and taking his backpack which contained a laptop computer.

An hour later, more robbery charges followed after Williams assaulted another student, rendering him unconscious. Williams stated that he was accompanied by DJ Pettway and Tyler Hayes, both of whom he stated were involved in an earlier robbery with him as well.

Calloway was arrested after admitting using one of the students' activity cards, which doubles as a debit card at various places throughout the campus.

XXXXXXX Thugs.....put their asses in jail and get them the hell away from the football program.

You said it, but unfortunately this is just the type ofplayer that SEC schools will "give a chance" to. Every Conference has problems like this, but the SEC laps the entire field added up. Saban did the right thing.
