Planning a WORK/PLAY trip to Las Vegas well in advance (January 2014). Have a question...

I go to a trade show every year (the SHOT show) that runs at the same time as the AVN Adult Film convention (the AVN show is always at the Hard Rock in Las Vegas).

I would like to book a nice suite for the days surrounding the two trade shows. Can anyone suggest the best way to take advantage of planning this 11 months in the future. I also plan to gamble with a buy-in of about 10K. I play blackjack almost exclusively. Is there a way to get a casino host for this in advance of my being rated at the particular casino. I would like to get the best deal on a really sweet suite for any pornstars that i may meet (lol). I know its crazy, just want to be prepared with a great suite to offer. I did drop into the Hard Rock last month while I was there for my work trade show at the Venetian and ended sitting next to and chatting with one of my favorite adult start (Bibi Jones of Gronkowski fame).

Any other suggestions that I can take advantage of regarding the Hard Rock hotel and early planning? Can you suggest what a good/best suite at the hotel might be and what the cost might be?

Thanks.

You can definitely have the casino book you any room you want and they will put a hold for the cost on your card and then during play or after you can ask for it comped.. this is traditional for someone who hasn't visited that property or family before.

You need to call the Hard Rock and ask for a Host. What's your per hand Play ??

Bringing $10K is a Start.... but it does depend on what the per hand is.... and How much time you "Think" you will play

When calling for a Host, just tell them that you have been going to Las Vegas for some time now... But never thought of getting a Host
and that on your other Trips, you never got a Players Card ( unless you have )

Ask to be rated... and that you want a Host.
Your Not looking for the Ball of wax... but if they can pick up the room for you.
Off the bat, they probably won't offer you a Suite... unless your play has been rated, and rated High.

If they Offer a Room, ask what he can do for a Suite, and that you would pick up the difference.
Tell him/Her that we can Re-Visit your Bill at the end of your Stay.

Worst might be a Casino Rate on the room and they pick up a Meal or two.

This is true for the Most part... But you will Always get a better Deal getting a Host before hand.

Yea no doubt.. I just figured for sure that if he really does gamble then they will comp it surely if he asks.. but he could show a players card from another casino outlet and pretty much prove his worth too.. if he doesnt have that then 10 to 1 he probably wouldn't have a host be able to do more than the minimum.. but I hope they give him a freebie or two others wouldnt get! :toast:

I am in Boston so I mostly play at Foxwoods and that's the only place I am rated. I usually play between $25-$300 a hand (I know that a wide spread), probably with an average of about a $100 a hand and I'll play for about 3-4 hours a day. Note sure what that would get me but would love to hear thoughts. Also, anyone ever stay at one of the Hard Rock suites? How are they?

Better double check if the deal at the Hardrock is still in place for 2014 since the AVN awards were held at Mandalay Bay in 2009 and at the Palms in 2010/2011. So seems like they move around quite a bit.
