Here is how it will go....

64 spots.....$25 a spot (we should put a cap on # of spots) (selection of teams either random or to be determined)

if your team wins vs the point spread, you advance regardless of if your team won.

i.e. shdw's team is Indiana -25 and Murph's team is Lehigh +25.....Indiana wins the game by 12 pts (wins but doesn't cover).... in this case, murph advances and his new team is Indiana going into the next round.

at a $25 buy in, we will have a $1600 pot. payouts something like (debatable):

1st - $600
2nd - $300
3rd - $150
4th - $150
5th - $100
6th - $100
7th - $100
8th - $100

any interest in this format? think we can fill 64 spots?

I would be in.

Potential pitfalls would include, who is holding the cash and how are the teams assigned? Tough to have any trust in many people at this forum unfortunately.

Good point.... you or I could hold it and id feel safe. .. maybe betallsports could do it for us

Selection of teams should either be random or we can select our spot before selection Sunday (I.e. Midwest seed 8, South seed 12, etc) in order of sign up

We will be doing a Tournament as per JOH like we did with the Super Bowl squares

per the format I have laid out here?

I think this an interesting and different concept...worth a shot if enough interest IMO

only hard part is finding a line (stale or not) at every round....although I like the idea of your team switching....so a #16 seed actually has a legitimate shot.

You need to set the Book that you will use for spreads. and it Must be one that puts out Overnight lines

Also, if the spread is an even number you would have to either add or subtract a half point to make sure there are no pushes.

not the same format I had in mind. I ran it last year and it went over quite well.
