I just got back from seeing The Who perform in Tulsa. I had low expectations because Daltry is 68 and Townsend is 67 but I have to say that it was one of the most amazing concert experiences I've ever had...and I've seen a shitload of concerts.

They played the entire Quadrophenia album in order start to finish and then they played about 7-8 of their greatest hits. They absolutely blew the crowd away. The first real test of Daltry's voice was the finale of Quadrophenia "Love Reign O'er Me" and he nailed it like he would have if he was 30 years younger.

I remember as a child that someone pushing 70 was on death's door, and these dudes are still up on stage rocking their asses off, despite the many years of drugs and alcohol they looked and sounded great. Daltry could easily have passed for being in his early 50's.

They're playing 8 more shows before they take a few months off. If they are coming near your area, I urge you to check them out. Our tickets were $95, but I would pay double to see them again...they were that good.

Funny you bring these guys up. I just watched the whole "live at the Isle of Wight" performance of Tommy with Keith Moon the other day. Here's the finale... awesome ..

This was my first time seeing them. Daltry didn't sound too much different last night than he did in that video.

This makes up for my miserable experience with Van Halen last year.

Daltry's "Love Reign O're Me" was so bad at the 12.12.12 Concert that I have a hard time believing you. I love The Who, but these guys should hang it up.

you witnessed rock history from an era that will never be again. Let it soak in as long as possible and appreciate it. They will those that are too young today that will appreciate this classic rock once they get older but will never get a chance to see them in concert. To witness this type of special experience. Music is so bad today for the most part.

If music is so bad today, then why is there a market for it? I agree with you but some say it's just because I'm getting old.

its bad to me. You aren't getting old. That expression doesn't work with our generation.

Music is a matter of taste of course. I don't hate all new music but its slim pickins nowadays if you like rock and blues. Listen to this station for a day or 2 while at work. That's what I am talking about. http://player.rock101.com/. I listen everyday all day at the office.

Well, I'm not making it up and I know what I heard. Dude is 68. I'm sure he has good nights and bad nights. Last night was definitely good and it was head and shoulders above the dismal performance David Lee Roth mailed in when I saw VH in the same venue last year.

I saw the Who around 1987 and they were horrible. Daultry and Townsend were into their solo careers. Going thru the motions at this show..
