I got dunked on last night

Playing a pick up game at the local Y and some pretty good athletes were there. I step in the lane to help my guy as he got beat and my guy hits the baseline. Perfect pass and he stuffs it with the right hand as I tried to block something.

My guy is about 20 years younger and 6'4 so I didn't feel too bad about it.

Who else will admit here that they've been dunked on?

I have... About a decade ago, also playing at the Y (in Cambridge, MA). Some really good players passed through there.

Never been dunked on. I know who I can block and who I cant jump with and make decisions accordingly

I flagrant fouled Keyon Dooling in High School to prevent him dunking on me on a fast break....they threw rocks at our bus when we left

Not surprising on the rock thowing. I don't see what the big deal about being dunked on is. Most of the time, the guy that got "facialized" or whatever they call it is not even the guy at fault. Anymore, to avoid being on posters, some guys intentionally get out of the play.

It would be worst to be posted up and have the guy do a nice up and under faking you out of your shorts for a 3 point play

I was dunked more times than I can count when I was in middle school by a kid my age...

I tried out for the HS basketball team, during tryouts this kid a year younger than me by 6'7 or so went to dunk on me and I push his body away. Coach didn't like that.
I went into tryouts thinking I had no chance. I had a great tryout, and was surprised when I didn't. Last time I really played now that I think ofit besides just shooting the ball around

I am a football guy admittedly but I loved to play basketball when I was younger. I always viewed fouls as, "I have 5 chances to hurt someone." I also do not believe in "and 1's". If I foul you, you are not going to make the basket...

Nothing worse than a player like you. Trying to turn the game into football with unnecessary hard fouls.

Been dunked on, crossed up, had my shot blocked and ball ripped from me. The more you play the more the more chances you have of it happening

Every team needs a guy to be the enforcer to play physical and get the rebounds where u break the other team's will to even try for rebounds after awhile or make them too afraid to come into the paint.........Good work.

^ what leagues youve been playing nothing worse than the physical assholes in the rec leagues and gym that cant play and anytime you try driving or going inside you get assaulted

Speaking of asshole football players I play in the chi burbs and quite a few bears past and present play from time to time. Hesters cool but if you breathe in his direction there's a foul. But a former bear comes in and decides everytime he plays Defense hes back to his old position and is absolutely offended if you ever call a foul on him, he ruins entire games just by playing.

those guys are equally as bad a the over the type physical hacks, the ones who call fouls non stop but have never committed one themselves.

Maybe I should have clarified, but I was talking about real basketball games with real refs, not pickup or Bush-League games. The fact that the guy was talking about he had 5 fouls means he was playing in a game that had refs........If you are talking about pickup games (Jim Carey in the Cable Guy comes to mind) then it does make the game worse cause there are no referees to call fouls which means there are no consequences for fouling.
