ya I never even considered this. In Vancouver growing up they were very anal about booze. They had government liquor stores only that closed at 9pm. Some untill 1pm. Warm cases of beer only. No buying cold beers in Safeway or a gas station. You still cannot. Recently they introduced cold beer and wine stores but they are so much more expensive than the government run shops.
Montreal has always been more liberal with shit like alcohol
