i dont understand how gonzaga is a 1 seed right now

best win was vs ok state 69-68

they play in the 10th ranked conference according to kenpom with 2 other solid teams in st marys and byu, and mediocre to trash for the remaining teams. i know they want a west team to get a one seed, and they are the best in the west, i just dont see them having a 1 seed resume.

eyeball test passes for me...fact is they are a #1 seed

Nobody this year is a favorite. They are every bit as good as Duke, Miami or Florida though.

i like gonzaga, in fact i would probably pick them or louisville to win it all right now. i think they are a 2 seed though.

A terribly weak schedule might get them the AP #1 ranking at the end of the year, in which case they will be a No. 1 seed. They're 1-2 against Top 25 teams this year; look for them to go down in Round 1 or 2.

The committee doesn't automatically pick a team from the west to be the #1 seed in the west.. it doesn't work that way.. How many times has a team come from the other part of the country to be the #1 seed in the west ? happens quite a bit. fact is, if the committee gives Gonzaga the #1 seed out here, it wasn't by default....

Do you think Colorado State deserves the #1 seed?

I'm sure the committee will realize that most of their losses, like yesterdays, were flukes and their opponent just simply had a player that had a once in a lifetime type of performance...that isn't their fault!

You're a strange guy. Yesterday's Colorado State loss was a fluke? They got beat by a good team with a player that had a great game. Nothing more, nothing less.

CSU should be about a #8 or #9 seed come tourney time. Gonzaga lost to Illinois and Butler. Illinois played great and Butler pulled it out at the end but this is the best Gonzaga team that Few has ever had.

as of yesterday, CSU was a projected 6 seed.. Maryland not in the tournament
