If you have a lot to move I suggest getting a uhaul type of truck.. or you could always ship it (but pricey)

I got two kids and don't think I could handle that long of a road trip. The farthest I've been with them in the car is new York.

I guess hire movers to take your stuff ( wont be cheap).. then y'all take a flight out.

Other than that it is obviously going to be a big move and trek either way. GL with everything bro <><>

Hope you have a huge reason to move to LA. Everything I hear about it is bad. Taxes, dirty, illegal mexicans and a horrible mayor. I do listen to Adam Carolla everyday and to be honest that is where most of my opinion comes from.

a good job offer should pay for all of the move, right?!

Pretty much, I was just looking for any input from someone who has made a big move. Just trying to cover all angles. I guess I'm just nervous and anxious that's all.

Nah, not really. I grew up in Wheaton ( 4 corners) lived in Kensington for about 3 years. I currently live right off Tuckerman by old Georgetown road.

Small world dude, I grew up right next to Wheaton Plaza actually. Enjoy the weather in LA

Spent a lot of time in LA, but never actually lived there for more than 6 months. I always liked the Silver Lake area.

lived in LA (harbor area) till i was 25 before i moved out to costa rica. depends on the area you will be for the schooling. highly recommend looking into a private school for your kids if they will be in LAUSD school area. good luck with the move and enjoy that mexican food if you like it.

Right now I'm looking for an apartment closest to Beverly hills, there is no way I can afford a house out there.
