Calling Murph or Pimpy McPimp, etc

If one were to dowload files via Soulseek...and would like to stay off this 6 strike list via Verizon...
I know there are a few ways to mask your ip for internet surfage...how are you able to use these methodolgies when opening up a separate application like soulseek, etc.
Which is easiest to setup and maintain?

Jesus wouldn't approve of you stealing music, movies, books, etc. in hard copy so why do you do it electronically?

I do plenty that wouldn't pass the approval test-but that doesn't define me.
No confession in my original post...I would say the majority-and probably all of the music I DL is freely available for free.
Nothing wrong with staying anonymous.

i'm not an expert with soulseek or the 6-strike rule but from what I recall seeing this is only if you share files.

if you download only I do not think that this will be a "strike"

I think you are right here...

The CAS identifies potential pirates via a system called MarkMonitor, which finds the Internet protocol (IP) addresses of computers uploading specifically monitored files, like popular albums or recent movie releases. Those IP addresses are relayed to Verizon, which pairs them with account holders’ names.

There's a number of potential flaws with that plan, though. It's easy to fake an IP address, a fact that's led to a lot of confusion in U.S. courts. It's unclear how the system will affect non-residential Internet connections, like those at libraries or Internet cafes. And it was egg on the CAS's face when news broke that MarkMonitor was being supervised by a consulting company called Stroz Friedberg, who for years collected lobbying money from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), one of the CAS's founding members.

I think he probably approves of stealing bibles from hotel rooms, its a good way to get the word out.
Would not be surprised if that was in his original business plan.

I have borrowed tons of movies to watch from other people who were kind enough to share them with me.
Got flagged once for sharing Passion of the Christ... so maybe he is not so crazy about this idea?:think2:

Forget Torrents and download from Usenet. For 21 bucks you can download (with an SSL connection) 200 GB of music/movies/tv shows/software/games, whatever the hell you want. Or you can get a pay by month account, around 10 bucks for unlimited, if you plan on really downloading a lot of stuff, especially if you are downloading large sized things like blu-ray quality movies.

The great thing about Usenet is that you don't have to share with others like you do with a torrent swarm, where they pluck your IP address and fuck you.
