I think I read something today that the Seattle Seahawks are petitioning the Washington State Liquor Control Board to experiment with the sale of hard alcohol with in the stadium on game day.

What are your thoughts?

I think it's cool. I don't have to sneak in my Jim Beam and mix it with my coke if this goes through. I can tell you that some fans get so fucked up on beer that adding hard alcohol seems like a recipe for disaster.

Game day could be more like an MMA fight in the stands at Century Link.

I was in a suite at a Panthers game and it was FREE liqour... I finished an entire bottle of crown plus some... however, the walk back to trying to find my buddies car was one of my best experiences I've had at an sporting event... the 4 hour ride home, one of the worst lol...

so yes, yes they do. To my knowledge I know that Carolina and Washington does but only in the Suite level

Chargers have a sports club where they sell all kinds of liquor. Nice to go there at half time to watch what's going on in other games being played.

Last time i was at the ga dome for a falcons game (which was 03) there were vendors in the lobbies selling hard alchohl , i assumed they all did.

Of course it's not really the team that's selling (unless the owner also owns the stadium).

The only thing i've heard about century-link was that there was some controversy this past season when the Washington Huskies college team played home games there and they "still" sold alchohol at those games , which couldn't have been done on campus. .... of course the students were the big losers b/c instead of smuggling there drinks in they had to pay $14 for a beer.

In a word, yes. Not cheap, but yes.

Thanks guys. The poor people who can only afford regular seats can only buy beer and wine. The luxury box suites folks can purchase hard alcohol. Hopefully we'll all be able to buy some of the hard stuff at Seahawks games soon. Hell, out state just legalized weed. Maybe we will be able to purchase some special brownies to enjoy while watching the game.
