I have forgotten a lot about that game. haven't dealt it in over 10 years..

Dealt BACC over 20 years ago (and haven't since) and I couldn't tell you what won/// I could figure out commissions thats it..

dealt many other carnival games RED DOG, Sic Bo, multi actio Black Jack and other crap that I haven't the slightest about...

I guess the old saying about forgeting more than some people know is true...

there are alot of differing bets one can make, you know if people are chunking it can be a little challenging, 8 straight up, 9 corners, 7 splits with a line and street bet adds up fast lol

Are you in college or is this a career? Often wondered about giving dealing a try.

Most all have dealt..

in the 90's people were moving up quick...

1 year wonders were becoming shift managers...

That amount varies. In better houses initial management is a big paycut.

what 5team said, id say full time dealers here make around 50k a year. when you become a supervisor in training you actually take a little bit of a paycut, you drop to like $19 an hr and might get to deal for 8 hrs once a week and be in a suit the other 4 days. normally last 6-12 months of training. once you pass that you become full-time salary and you get a pay raise. then you become pit boss, floor manager, casino manager etc. id say by the end locally here your probably making 80-100k a year in a small market casino town.

so could u start hitting numbers after awhile??

it would take awhile or alot of practice. the guy who taught the class could section, pick a number and he would be within 2-3 numbers either way of the number you wanted, but your also suppose to have procedures to stop that from happening. not looking at the wheel when you spin, switching the size of the balls, how fast the wheel is spinning, how fast you spin the ball etc.

i remember the first time i ever played roulette was at caesars in vegas was watching for awhile and these people kept playing 17 as it was their number with no luck, new dealer taps in and they tell the guy if he hits 17 first spin he gets $100 tip. first spin the guy nails 17 and gets his $100 tip which he left sitting on the wheel head. he made a comment like i guess its steak and lobster tonight for dinner. not sure if they actually didnt pool tips then or if he was just waiting to get tapped out to color down the tip

Never worked in a casino, but as far back as I could remember they always pooled the tips.
use to be a big Roulette player back in the day... had one of my biggest hits at a roulette table, my number came out 3 times in a row and 4 out of 5 times in a row.

some casinos dont pool still to this day. each dealer carries around a toke box and take it with them when they leave the game. our poker dealers still do that. i dont know how not pooling works on poor tipping games like pai gow or let it ride, where you might be lucky to get $5 sometimes.

in my hr on roulette i hit back to back numbers twice. but i cleaned out 3/4 players including the $500 roulette nickel buy in. one of the younger girls colored up 140

Yes I've seen the Poker room dealers carry those boxes around, but have never seen a Table game dealer do that... maybe at smaller Casinos ??

and Who gets to count the Tips ?? wonder if the Casino skims off the top ??

as far as i know, the dealers toke box is locked with a lock you might put on say a storage locker, at the end of the shift they go to the cashiers cage, who has all the keys to the boxes. they unlock the box and count out the tips in front of the dealer and the amount is logged. they then get it back in their paycheck after taxes n shit are taken out

Is it mandatory you have to learn so many table games at the casino you work in?

My buddy's wife recently became a dealer, she had to learn 2 table games minimum...She started with Blackjack and now deals craps.

i believe toke rate is the average of all tips for that day/week/weekend and then payed out evenly. here in jersey u will see toke from 16-28 an hour average. of course much higher on weekend tokes at places like borgata
