When you are on an awful losing streak...

Do you just keep fighting through it knowing it will eventually turn?

or

Does it come to a point where enough is enough and you stop for a while?

After having a really hot January I have hit the worst streak of my life since (as those of you know who follow the college and nba forum). If I had to guess, I would say I am something like 2-20 for february and early march. I would like to hear people's thoughts and advice on this as it has seriously beaten me down.

No trolling please.

Damm you are talented. Your so good at betting that 5dimes cuts your limits even when you are on a bad streak. Could you imagine what they would have done to you if you were hot?

did you not read the post?

5dimes cut my limits after I withdrew 2 checks totaling 4500 in my first month there. Like I said I had a hot January.

Since then nothing but downhill.

But I don't need this to turn into me defending myself

Again, no trolling please. I put myself out there with a thread like this looking for real advice from people who have been through a stretch like this.

Take a break! There are games everyday. No need to wager all the time. A break clears your mind and you will come back refreshed and with confidence. This business is a lifetime marathon and not a sprint.

For football I always just play through. But for basketball I usually will take a break. Since there are so many games just a day or 2 off is enough for me

I just cut back my wager amount to about 10-15 percent of what i play so avg 100 player cuts back to 10-15 per play till i have a winning night i went on about a month of losing nights. Good luck

when you get accustomed to bettin a certain amount it's hard as hell to bet less..dont let this thing of ours get to ye because it's only money..when i start losin too much heres what i always do in no particular order. go visit family and friends who dont gamble and dont talk about gamblin. go to library and check out 10 or 12 good books i wanna read. if that dont change my attitude i go see my childhood buddy and best friend. heres what we always do and i love it. smoke pot,play guitars,and laugh about all the stupid shit we've done in our lives..

im on a hell of a losing streak...ever feel like the outcome of the world of sports is based on your bets? no matter how many points i have bought recently ill lose by 1 point. Were talking 20+ point nba bets down to what seems like every college upset. Im on week 2 of my break feeling pretty proud of myself, luckily ive got alot going on to help...trying to hold out til vegas again in april

I will never understand kicking someone when they are down. We all will be down at some point in this business and I just feel like it's bad karma.

If you have a bankroll and use proper money management, losing streaks will just play with your mind...get back on the horse and keep firing away....

Justin, I like your posts, I think you add alot of value here,,,, when a losing streak hits me I alwasy ask myself,, Is it ME? or is it THEM?,, Its 99% of the time Them, as the angles I use I KNOW work,, soooo now I ask myself,, whatt is happening with them TO CAUSE MY SYSTEMS to not work?? I pull back, I paper trade, I examine the PULSE of the sport as to why things skid sideways? sometimes I make a great breakthrough,,, sometimes not,, what Ive found is every sport evolves,, and thee is a chance your just not seeing something,,
