Who makes the opening line?

So who makes the opening line? :think2:

Betcris? Vegas? Is Pinnacle involved in the opening line? If not, that's crazy how much people look just at Pinny for line/juice moves..as I do also.

Is it the same person/group that makes the opening line every time? I would assume any book can put out opening lines but most of them are scared.

Since all books are usually using the exact same opening line. I always assumed it was a formula

The places that put a line up first, use line services. They might use 3 different ones and then form an opening # from a consensus of those 3 services. They then make their opening number available to one or two sharp players to bet into. After the sharps bet the board, the line goes up. Then the other books copy these shops. This is a simplified version, but that is pretty much what happens as far as I know.

sooo,,, for over 15 years I have handicapped sports,,, Judge,,, who the FK are the 3 groups,,, what are their names,,, (of the groups?)

everyone loves to say, groups,,, secret behind closed door guys,,, blah blah,, who the FK are they? is their name Valdemort?? lolol hahha,,, anyone with kids will get that joke?,,

who are teh SECRET guys that get to BET into the Lines?? how can I get that job? what are the requirements,,

Im sad to say,, this thread is turning into,,, a dog chasing his tail,, Noone knows the answer,, noone knows the truth? yet its running the whole industry for years?

Its pretty simple to get within 1/2 to 1 point yourself before the lines come out. Been doing it for years..... It can get pretty deep when you have to attach a point # to a superstar if they are hurt or injured. But most of it goes into MOV on the H/R, Defense-Offense H/R, AVG score H/R, point # for days rest, etc....

If you want, give me a game for Sunday/Monday and Ill give you the spread before it comes out... works exceptionally well in the NFL and College if you know what the line should be, and what the book makers put up. Thats how I do so well in football.

I agree....football I can come within a pt of all he lines basically but that still doesnt answer question.

LV Sports consultants is one. I know Roxy Roxborough used to be one. I think there are a handful of such services around.
