do we take this seriously? Looks like they've been threatening this for the last 3 days since more sanctions took place there this week.
I doubt their missles can reach US soil.

But i'm sure they can reach Japan and S.Korea where our boys are.

Thoughts? Wonder if the media is downplaying this.

One big concern I thought about today is if a major incident happens on that side of the glode, how can it be contained to that side of the globe or can it be contained to that area?

Its all BS. N. Korea knows that an attack on the US ~ Nuclear or otherwise would have only one result. The elimination of N Korea as we know it from the planet. We could tacitly use limited nuclear weapons to wipe then off the map with little to no risk of damaging any other country. Everyone thinks about the full yield nuclear bombs we prepared for use against Russia, but we have plenty of limited yield nuclear weapons that can effectively eliminate all of N Korea's Military in a matter of minutes. And now we have the precision to put them within a few inches of where we want them. In addition, N Korea has no resources we need so no reason to pussy foot around with them.

A topic I know quite well. If a missile was fired anywhere in the Pacific or towards the U.S. we'd know it immediately as this is the kind of stuff monitored 24/7. Let's say a missile fired from NK reached Guam, Hawaii or the U.S. even, we've have an immediate and deadly response unlike you've ever seen in our lifetime.

But, all that said, NK currently does not have the capacity to touch us.

Even if you take the United States out of the equation, could a conflict NK/ SK NK/Japan be confined and limited to the Far East and not spill over globally triggering a world wide unstability. That was my apprehension.

The picture in the morning paper showed the N Korean Leader Kim standing in an Obervation Tower along the border with binoculars up to his eyes assesing the situation. Little bastard looked serious enough for me. A comment made by the Foreign Minster indicated N Korea will be known as a regime that will flourish no matter what sanctions may be placed upon them.
