NASCAR is facing a backlash with many fans after fining Denny Hamlin $25,000 for what they called "actions detrimental to stock car racing." After the Phoenix race, Hamlin was asked in a post race interview to assess the new Gen 6 car after the second race. Hamlin said, "I don't want to be the pessimist, but it did not race as good as our generation 5 cars. This is more like what the generation 5 was at the beginning."
Hypersensitive NASCAR then hit Hamlin with a $25,000 fine for the comments. Seems to me like a little overpolicing going on here an a backlash storm by fans has hit NASCAR pretty hard.
Hamlin said he would not pay the fine.....don't blame him....the gestapo police have gone too far.
